As of Jan-Oct, agrarians grew cattle/poultry sales by 6.1%, up to 1.15 mn MT

03.12.2009 09:59 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Jan-Oct 2009 agricultural companies have lifted cattle/poultry sales to 1.15 mn MT, up 66,000 MT (+ 6.1%) against Jan-Oct 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As for Jan-Oct 2009 cattle/poultry sales structure, companies sold 25.5% total cattle/poultry to processors; 1.2% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries and 0.1% − to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

8% cattle/poultry were sold on markets (65.2% - through other trade channels).

As to report, in Jan-Oct 2008 agrarians sold 1.084 mn MT cattle/poultry.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-Sept 2009 agricultural companies had risen cattle/poultry sales to 1.028 mn MT, up 59,000 MT (+ 6.1%) against Jan-Sept 2008.
