Within Jan-Oct agrarians shortened cattle sales by 12.4%, down to 175,554 MT

03.12.2009 10:35 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Jan-Oct 2009 agricultural companies have reduced cattle sales to 175,554 MT, down 24,787 MT (- 12.4%) against Jan-Oct 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As for Jan-Oct 2009 cattle sales structure, companies sold 59.2% total cattle to processors; 3.8% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries and 0.3% − to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

11.1% cattle were sold on markets (25.6% - through other trade channels).

As to report, in Jan-Oct 2008 agrarians sold 200,341 MT cattle.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-Sept 2009 agricultural companies had lowered cattle sales to 155,986 MT, down 23,132 MT (- 12.9%) against Jan-Sept 2008.
