Agrarians Jan-Oct pigs sales down 2.8%, to 220,261 MT

03.12.2009 09:39 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As to State Statistics Committee report, in Jan-Oct 2009 agricultural companies have lowered pigs sales to 220,261 MT, down 6,387 MT

(- 2.8%) as of Jan-Oct 2008.

As for Jan-Oct 2009 pigs sales structure, agrarians have sold 59.4% total pigs to processors; 2.7% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries; 0.2% were given to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

As to Committee, 15.1% pigs were sold on markets, 22.6% – through other trade channels.

As to report, in Jan-Oct 2008 agrarians sold 226,648 MT pigs.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-Sept 2009 agricultural companies had declined pigs sales to 197,393 MT, down 5,726 MT (- 2.8%) as of Jan-Sept 2008.
