Kirovograd region agrarians harvested 0.458 mn MT grains

24.07.2006 13:45 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of Fri, Jul 21, Kirovograd region agrarians have harvested 0.458 mn MT early grains, reported Serghiy Nariychuk, Deputy Chairman of Regional Agrarian-Industrial Complex Main Department (Kirovograd Regional State Administration).

As to Nariychuk, early grains have been mowed at 187,400 ha/threshed at 171,200 ha (24% total planned).

Nariychuk admitted agrarians have as well threshed 33,300 MT peas (74% total planned).

He made it known grains average yielding capacity is 26,7 metric centners per ha.

As earlier reported, Kirovograd region agrarians had started early grains harvesting

on Jul 5.

Regional grain gross crop is forecasted 2.5 mn MT (up to specified data); grains yielding capacity is expected 25,0 metric centners per ha.

Within this year Apr-May Kirovograd region agrarians have performed sowing campaign/sown spring crops at 1,179,000 ha.
