UN confirms food aid shipments to over 300,000 vulnerable Syrians

Over 300,000 Syrians have received emergency food aid from the UN within the last three weeks, in response to the recent military operations within the country north-east, UN Radio says referring to the WFP (World Food Programme) report.
As to the report, this number includes people fleeing hostilities and families providing shelter to the displaced.
In addition, WFP is scaling up regular food assistance to nearly 600,000 people within Hasakeh and Raqqa governorates, incl. many who were uprooted by the Turkish incursion within Kurdish-controlled areas.
In meanwhile, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian emergency elsewhere in the wartorn country, WFP noted that some 400,000 people have sought shelter within camps within the northern Idlib within recent months.
