11.01.2016 17:08 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of the last week, while speaking within the «10 minutes with the Prime Minister» TV show, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk claimed Ukraine presently has got enough natural gas and so won’t buy Russian gas at US$212 per 1,000 cubic meters, UNIAN reports.
«Currently there is about 13 milliard cubic meters of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities. This is 2.3 milliard cubic meters more against the last year,» Yatseniuk said.
«We have accumulated sufficient volumes of gas,» he admitted.
As to the report, Yatseniuk also noted that Ukraine did not buy gas from Russia.
«On Jan 1, they offered us the gas price set at US$212 per 1,000 cubic meters. We do not buy Russian gas, because we are getting it at a lower price from the European Union. The average purchase price of gas from the European Union is about US$200,» Yatseniuk said.
