World Bank forecast for Belarus GDP 2017 growth remains unchanged

The World Bank report «Global Economic Prospects» says the Bank has kept unchanged its forecast for the Belarus GDP growth within 2017, Belarus Radio says referring to
BelTA.
As to the report, experts expect a 0.5% decline of the Belarus GDP within 2016. However, within 2017 and 2018 GDP growth is expected to resume at 1% per year (the same growth rate the experts of the World Bank announced in Nov 2015 within the presentation of the economic survey of Belarus). At the same time, the report notes that in the case of stabilization of prices on raw goods 2016 may see a moderate resumption of growth in the eastern part of the region, including Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia.
Reportedly, the World Bank also expects improvement of the economic situation in Russia and Ukraine within 2016.
