Jaresko expects financial support for Ukraine to be doubled

As of the last week, within the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Lima (Peru), the Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko urged the international partners to double their financial support for Ukraine to at least US$15 milliard, UNIAN reports.
«Today, seven months after the launch of the IMFs Extended Fund Facility program, we are convinced that we have the reasons and grounds for a considerable increase in this assistance,» Jaresko said.
As to the report, among the key reasons the Minister mentioned the stabilization of the situation in the conflict zone in the countrys east, the growing confidence of international partners in the Ukrainian authorities and the progress Ukraine had made in implementing of its reforms’ agenda.
