Ukrainian agrarians receive almost 50 mln tons grain

As of this year Oct 16, the Ukrainian agrarians have received 49.6 million tons grain
from 12.8 million ha (88% of the total planned areas), UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry press service report.
As to the report, agrarians have got 11.8 million tons maize (for grain) from 2.3 million ha (56% of the planned), 138,000 tons buckwheat from 118,000 ha (89%), and 207,000 tons millet from 104,000 ha (96%).
Reportedly, agrarians have also harvested 10 million tons sunflower seeds from 4.7 million ha (95%).
In addition, 3 million tons soybeans were harvested from 1.7 million ha (81%), and 4.8 million tons sugar beets were gathered from 122,000 ha (51%).
At the same time, potatoes were harvested from 1.25 million ha (97%), and the agrarians received 20.9 million tons.
In meanwhile, Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Ministry experts expect the Ukrainian this year gross crop of maize will be 24.5 million tons (buckwheat - 135,000 tons, sunflower - 10.3 million tons, and sugar beets - 9.3 million tons). Grain export in this MY (Jul 2015-Jun 2016) is forecasted to reach 36.8 million tons.
