Chaliy discussed further support of Japan towards Ukraine

As of yesterday, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaliy had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yasumasa Nagamine, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Valeriy Chaliy expressed gratitude to Japan for upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He noted that the position of Japan was very important, especially on the eve of the G7 Summit that will be held on Jun 78 in Germany. As to him, Ukraine expects this Summit to touch upon the issue of peaceful settlement in Donbas and ways to counter Russian aggression.
Reportedly, the parties discussed the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements and the prospects of deploying the international peacekeeping mission under the aegis of the UN in Ukraine.
As to the report, Chaliy thanked Japan for the large-scale financial aid to Ukraine, namely the allocation of US$1.5 milliard of credit aid for the implementation of a series of projects to support development.
Reportedly, the Presidential Administration Deputy Head also praised the decision of the Japanese Government to allocated additional aid to Ukraine in the amount of US$316.6 million for the stabilization of our national economy and the support of reforms.
Besides, Chaliy as well praised the conclusion of the agreement between the two countries governments on the allocation of US$16.6 million by Japan for the implementation of the projects on the restoration of social and economic infrastructure in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
