Ukraine, Russia to build bridge between Crimea and Kuban
24.10.2013 16:42 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Crimea has a huge transportation potential and is an important transit center of Ukraine, PM Mykola Azarov said at the opening of the IV International Black Sea Economic Forum in Livadia palace on October 24, ForUm reports.
The head of the government noted that to realize this potential the project on construction of the Crimea-Kuban bridge becomes of immediate interest.
«During our meeting the PM of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev himself raised the question on construction of the bridge between Crimea and the Russian part of North Caucasus. It is a very important transportation line, and it will help us to develop the countries of the Black Sea region and will open transportation routes to Asia. Both Russia and Ukraine are interested in realization of this difficult but promising project,» Azarov said.
Moreover, among the priorities there are development and modernization of three commercial seaports of Crimea and Crimean airports.
