Ukrainian oilseeds market 16.12.2015

Within reporting week soybeans/rape prices on Ukrainian domestic oilseeds’ market remained stable. However, sunseeds’ prices have, once again, declined (though not as deeply as within previous week: as of this week, sunseeds’ prices have sagged just by UAH100 per MT).
Experts admit within this week Ukrainian domestic oilseeds’ market was influenced by national currency factor and global market fundamental factors.
On export market, soybeans/rape prices remained relatively stable. At same time, export market sun.pell prices have, once again, significantly declined. Simultaneously, export market crude sunoil prices have declined just slightly.
It is to be admitted, within this week global vegetable oils’ market was strongly influenced by global petrol market prices’ fall and global soy.oil/palm oil high reserves.
At same time, global sun.pell/soy.pell market prices were going down due to high offer, weak demand and, additionally, expectations for South America offer growth (as Brazil and Argentina are going to harvest soybeans’ record crop and, besides, Argentina is liberalizing its foreign trade and simultaneously facing its national currency devaluation).
In meanwhile, within this week Ukrainian domestic market sunseeds processed products’ prices were, upon whole, going down (due to no support from export market). As of this week, Ukrainian domestic market soy.pell/soybeans meal prices have also slightly sagged; however, domestic market soyoil prices have remained about same as within previous week.

Within reporting week Ukrainian oilseeds’ harvesting campaign has been completed.

Thus, as to Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food operative data, as of this year Dec 16, Ukrainian agrarians have harvested 3,771.000 MT soybeans at 2,129.000 ha, average yield — 17.7 metric centners per ha.
So, this year soybeans’ harvesting is already over.
Also, as of this year Dec 16, agrarians have harvested 11,094.000 MT sunseeds at 5,021.000 ha, average yield — 22.1 metric centners per ha.
Thus, this year sunseeds’ harvesting has been completed.

In meanwhile, as of this year Dec 16, winter rape has been sown at 655,000 ha (or 80% total planned 823,000 ha).

Sunseeds

As of this week, Ukrainian processors have declined their EXW basis sunseeds’ purchase prices to UAH9,300–9,500 per MT (down UAH100 per MT as of last week).
Also, processors have sagged their CPT plant basis sunseeds’ purchase prices to UAH9,500–9,700 per MT (down UAH100 per MT against previous week).
However, at same time, on FOB Black Sea/Azov Sea ports basis, Ukrainian new crop sunseeds’ export prices (this year Dec — next year Jan shipments) remained US$430–440 per MT (same as of last week).

Sunoil, sun.pell

By end this week, Ukrainian exporters’ crude sunoil offer prices (FOB Black Sea/Azov Sea ports basis, this year Dec — next year Jan shipments) have dipped to US$785–805 per MT (down US$5 per MT as of last week).
As of this week, on FOB Black Sea/Azov Sea ports basis, Ukrainian sun.pell export prices have fallen to US$180–190 per MT (down US$15 per MT against previous week).
Simultaneously, within this week DAF Poland basis sun.pell export prices have sagged to US$190–200 per MT (down US$10 per MT against previous week); besides, DAF Belarus basis sun.pell export prices have declined to US$190–200 per MT (down US$10 per MT as of last week).

As of this week, Ukrainian domestic market crude sunoil, sun.pell and sunseeds’ meal prices have significantly fallen due to country export market prices’ recent lowing and domestic/export markets’ slack demand.
Thus, within this week Ukrainian domestic market crude sunoil offer prices have slumped to UAH20,000–20,500 per MT, EXW (down UAH500 per MT as of last week).
Simultaneously, within this week Ukrainian domestic market sun.pell offer prices have dropped to UAH4,900–5,100 per MT (down UAH100 per MT against previous week); sunseeds meal prices have plummeted to UAH4,100–4,700 per MT (down UAH300 per MT as of last week).

Soybeans
As of this week, Ukrainian home market soybeans’ prices remained unchanged. Experts admit country home market soybeans’ prices were supported by exporters’ stable demand and Ukrainian export market stable sale prices. It is to be mentioned, within this week Ukrainian home market soybeans’ prices remained high due to country soybeans’ producers being able to assure just low sale rates.
So, within this week Ukrainian home market soybeans’ EXW purchase prices ranged within UAH9,000–9,300 per MT (same as within previous week); at same time, CPT plant purchase prices were UAH9,200–9,400 per MT (unchanged against last week).
Besides, within this week traders retained their new crop soybeans’ export prices (FOB Black Sea ports basis) US$355–360 per MT (unchanged against previous week).

Soyoil, soy.pell

Within reporting week Ukrainian domestic market soyoil prices have grown.
However, at same time, country domestic market soy.pell/soybeans meal prices have declined (due to global market total soy.pell/sun.pell prices’ lowing).

Rape

Within reporting week Ukrainian home market rape prices remained unchanged; at same time, country export market prices also remained same.
As of this week, Ukrainian sea ports rape purchase prices have declined to UAH9,100–9,300 per MT (down UAH50 per MT against previous week).
Within this week traders retained their rape export prices (FOB) US$410–415 per MT (unchanged as of last week).
Besides, within this week traders maintained their home market rape purchase prices (EXW) UAH8,700–8,900 per MT, same as within previous week.
