Vinskiy: Transport Ministry won’t allow sea trade ports dumping tariff policy

16.06.2009 13:54 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Ukrainian Ministry of Transport and Communication won’t permit country sea trade ports to pursue dumping tariff policy, declared Minister of Transport and Communication Yosyp Vinskiy on Ministry collegium.

“Certainly, our ports tariffs will be down against Marseille or Constantsa similar, − but we won’t permit dumping tariffs,” stated Minister.

As to him, Ukrainian sea trade ports current tariffs are economically justified and correspond to Baltic, Black Sea and Mediterranean ports similar. “At least, these data were true a month ago, when we made ports situation examination,” said Minister.

Besides, Vinskiy urged sea trade ports chiefs to cancel all joint activity contracts until yearend. “Don’t tell me about difficulties, instead look for possibility to break these contracts. I know that most of your partners will agree to cancel contracts if you ask them. So, do ask them about that !” emphasized Minister addressing sea trade ports chiefs.
