Since Jul 15, Ukrainian capital bread baking plants belonging to OJSC Khlib Kyieva will suspend shipping bread to companies/private entrepreneurs which sell bread beyond Kyiv, reported OJSC Khlib Kyieva press-service referring to Igor Mazuryka (Khlib Kyieva Board Chairman) declaration. “We are obliged to take this decision by our bread baking integrated plants present condition: taking into consideration, that plants flour reserves will suffice just for a week, we can’t leave Ukrainian capital inhabitants without bread. Each day over 100 MT bread are brought out beyond capital. However, if this bread remains in capital, we will be able to control situation for some time,” stated Board Chairman. Mazuryka added now work on bread producers compensations/new prices formation system problem settlement is going on. In order to settle this problem, said Mazuryka, working group (incl. Kyiv Municipal State Administration representatives/Kyiv Rada deputies) had been created. Mazuryka emphasized this problem is to be settled as soon as possible as there is a real threat of bakeries halt due to their constantly raising indebtedness to resources supplies. Thus, said Mazuryka, a few days ago Brovary-based bread baking plant had to halt as gas supply was cut off due to baking plant unpaid debts.
