Grain reserves comprise 13.6 million tons as of August 1

Specialists estimate grain reserves at 13.6 million tons as of August 1, informs the State’s Statistic Committee.
Against July 1, 2007 grain reserves have went up by 9.4 million tons.
In particular, agricultural enterprises estimate their reserves at 8.7 million tons, whereas grain-processing and grain storing enterprises at 4.9 million tons.
As to Agro Perspectiva earlier report, grain reserves comprised 4.2 million tons as of July 1, with agricultural enterprises having 1.821 million tons, and grain processing and grain storing enterprises 2.383 million tons.
Last year grain harvest was at 34.251 million tons, and in 2005 38.015 million tons.
Capacity of the domestic market is 7 million tons of grain annually.
