Yanukovych: State Reserve must purchase 740,000 MT food wheat in 2007

Within this year State Committee for Material Reserves (State Reserve) should buy in total 740,000 MT food wheat, reported Ukrainian Premier Viktor Yanukovych today before Cabinet meeting opening.
As to Yanukovych, this amount wheat doesn’t include regional reserves wheat purchases.
Within Cabinet meeting Yanukovych had commissioned to Anatoliy Kinakh (Minister of Economics) to hold briefing with country bakery industry representatives.
«Though bakers are known as quite responsible people, yet they should be timely provided with due explanations. It is necessary to explain to them that State has enough grain and there is no reason to create panic,» declared Premier.
Besides, Yanukovych has also said Government would allot UAH50 mn for 2008 crop Seeds Fund creation.
