Yushchenko: grains market policy should consider producers interests
07.06.2007 13:45 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
President Viktor Yushchenko is convinced grains market trade policy should be shaped with agricultural producers interests taken into account, reported President press-service referring to Yushchenko country southern regions visit results.
«In what concerns producers, we must protect them firstly, to protect against being thrown out to dumping market due to new trade policy,» declared Yushchenko.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Cabinet is going to ban grains export until country food reserves are completely formed. Thus, Ukrainian grains market competition will become quite restricted within food reserves forming period, while exporters will be obliged to make just minimal purchases due to absence of information on export resumption and in order to evade 2006/07 MY grains export situation reoccurrence (when part export intended grains rotted due to being stored on ports warehouses unequipped for grains long-term storage).
