Sugar plants processed 2006 crop beet 19.8 mn MT

08.12.2006 15:00 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this year Dec 6, Ukrainian sugar plants have processed 19.82 mn MT this year crop sugar beet, up against last year similar 14.05 mn MT, reported National Sugar Producers Association Ukrtsukor.

As to Ukrtsukor, since sugar production season beginning plants have been supplied with 21.86 mn MT sugar beet (up 7 mn MT against last year similar).

As to Association, presently plants are daily supplied with 52,100 MT beet; plants are processing 30,700 MT beet each day.

Plants sugar beet remainders total 1.53 mn MT.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of this year Nov 22, Ukrainian agricultural companies had harvested 22.974 mn MT this year crop sugar beet.

As to Agro Perspective, Association Ukrtsukor had forecasted this year country sugar beet crop would total 20.6 mn MT (up 5.1 mn MT against last year).

In 2005 country agrarians had harvested 15,467.800 MT sugar beet (average yield — 248,2 metric centners per ha).
