Agrarian Fund to finance domestic agricultural producers for UAH2.5 milliard

26.02.2019 22:49 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this week, the Public JSC Agrarian Fund is launching a spring campaign of its 2019 grains’ crop forward-purchase program, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports. As to the report, Agrarian Fund is going to purchase in total 710,000 tons grains (incl. 500,000 tons wheat; 100,000 tons maize; 50,000 tons barley; 30,000 tons rye; 10,000 tons buckwheat; 10,000 tons oats and 10,000 tons of yellow peas). As to preliminary estimates, the total amount of advance payments to the agricultural producers will exceed UAH2.5 milliard. It is to be admitted, the interest rate for the agrarians usage of the prepayment is 23–25% (with UAH exchange rate fluctuations not taken into consideration) or 15% (taking into consideration UAH exchange rate 15% fluctuations). It is to be noted, this year Agrarian Fund will, as earlier, continue working with big agrarian holdings, small and medium-sized farm economies, which have a successful agricultural plants’ cultivation experience, positive credit history and no tax arrears.
