Trofimtseva: Ukraine, Saudi Arabia strengthening agro-industrial complex cooperation

As of this week, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food on European Integration Olga Trofimtseva has had a meeting within Kyiv with Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture Mr. Ahmed Bin Salih Al-Khamshi within Kyiv, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, within the meeting Trofimtseva told Ukraine and Saudi Arabia are interested in deepening cooperation within the agrarian sector, including boosting of the bilateral trade and expanding investment cooperation.
«I am very pleased to note the positive dynamics of the agrarian/foods products bilateral trade between our countries. As to the results of Jan-Sept 2018, Ukrainian exports to Saudi Arabia market amounted to US$362.9 million, up almost 17% against the 2017 similar.
At the same time, I would like to stress once again Ukrainian readiness to be the key partner of Saudi Arabia as for providing of the foods security within its territory. Moreover, due to our sectoral export strategy, Saudi Arabia has been included into the list of priority countries for Ukraine in order to develop the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex trade and economic relations till 2026,» she admitted.
