Ukraine breaks frozen fruits/berries export record

Ukrainian this MY (marketing year) Jun-Aug frozen fruits/berries export has jumped to 20,000 tons, up 80% against last year similar, thanks to domestic shock freezing capacities’ enlargement, Ukrinform says referring to EastFruit report.
«Within the new MY, 2018/19 MY Jun-Aug, Ukraine has boosted frozen fruits/berries export by 80% in money terms, having thus received over US$35 million income; frozen fruits/berries export has reached about 20,000 tons what has become a new record for the new marketing year first 3 months,» the report runs.
In meanwhile, the experts say frozen fruits/berries export boost has become possible thanks to the domestic raspberry output 2017 sharp growth: it is to be reminded, within 2017 a significant part of the domestic raspberry output was lost due to a deficit of freezing capacities. Thus, as of early 2018, several new mighty companies on fruits/vegetables’ shock freezing were created; these companies have started working since early this MY.
