Agrarian Ministry took part within forest planting

As of yesterday, representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy took part within the forest trees’ planting (carried out within the framework of the annual action ‘The future of the forest is in your hands’), Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, the tree seedlings’ planting took place at the territory of the State-owned forestry company Teterivskiy Lisgosp, (Mygalske forestry, Kyiv region).
Also, representatives of the Ukrainian State Agency of Forestry, State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection and forestry schools’ students took part in the event. In total, almost 20,000 tree seedlings were planted at the 2 ha area.
It is to be admitted, the annual action purpose is to involve the public into the creation and restoration of domestic forest plantations, to raise the public attentiveness towards nature, and to observe the behavior rules within the forests.
As to the report, the annual action started Mar 21 (on the International Day of Forests) and lasts for a month until the Environment Day, which this year is marked Apr 21.
It is to be admitted, as of 2017, Ukrainian reforestation activities covered in total 54,000 ha (what equals to an area of 74,500 football fields).
