Rozenko met with IMF mission team
12.02.2015 10:07 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of yesterday, the Ukrainian Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko held talks with the leadership of the IMF mission headed by Nikolay Georgiev, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, within the framework of negotiations on granting Ukraine a financial assistance there was tackled an issue of reforming the social sphere, in particular pension reforms.
Reportedly, Rozenko admitted that there was no alternative to reforms in Ukraine - but the reforms are not to be implemented at cost of the ordinary citizens.
As to the Minister, the Ukrainian Pension Fund multi-milliard UAH deficit should be overcome not by raising of the retirement age, but through a set of reforms, namely de-shadowing of wages and preventing of unfair ultrahigh special pensions.
