08.10.2014 17:13 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Belarus is considering the setting up of joint food processing companies with Poland and Estonia, Belarus Radio reports referring to the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats.
«Belarus was visited by Polish businessmen. The parties discussed the issues related to the creation of joint companies to process fruit and vegetables. We showed them our companies and heard Poland’s proposals. The issue is under consideration,» the minister said.
As to report, Belarus was also visited by representatives of the Slovakian business. They suggest organizing a joint company in Belarus to produce cheeses from Belarusian and Slovakian raw material with an aim to enter third countries.
Reportedly, Leonid Zayats does not rule out a possibility for Russian investors coming to Belarus. The two countries are in talks on a joint company to process meat raw material from Amur Oblast to supply the ready-made product to the Russian market.
It is to be admitted, Leonid Zayats had earlier stated that there is a possibility of setting up joint processing companies with the Baltic countries for further food supplies, including to the Russian Federation.
