Ukraine sends proposals to settle disputable issues with Gazprom to European Commission, says Minister

Ukraine has sent its proposals on settling a gas conflict with Russia’s Gazprom and options of paying the existing debt for gas consumed, NRCU reports.
«We’ve sent not only our proposals on the gas schedule, but also all our proposals linked to the settling of the situation with Gazprom We sent them late on Monday October 6,» Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan told reporters on Wednesday.
Asked to comment on the statement of Gazprom that the Russian monopolist is waiting for comments from Ukraine on the issue of paying the debt for gas by noon of October 8, the Minister said that Ukraine is not obliged to send its proposals. «We’re sending them to the European Commission, and it is likely that the European Commission will agree them with Russia. We’ve sent them to the European Commission,» he said.
