Ukrainian, Romanian PMs signed agreement on local border traffic

The Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and the Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta have signed the Agreement between the Ukrainian Cabinet and the Romanian Government on local border traffic on Thursday, October 2, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the Agreement will promote the development of Ukrainian-Romanian border cooperation. In particular, the Agreement provides for a simplified procedure of crossing the border by residents of border regions of Ukraine andRomania, living within a 30-kilometer zone from the common state border. They receive free permits for simplified border crossing and the right to stay in the border zone of another state for up to 90 days each time from the date of crossing the border.
Arseniy Yatseniuk called the signing of the Agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Romania «another step towards visa-free traveling between citizens of Ukraine and the member-states of the European Union».
Due to this agreement, nearly half a million of Ukrainians who live in the 30-km zone on the border with Romania can visa-free travel to Romania, Yatseniuk said.
