Ukrainian agricultural producers have provided stable prices in the market

26.07.2013 10:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Production volumes of Ukrainian agro-industrial complex increase at a dynamic pace. This enabled domestic agricultural producers to ensure food security in the country and to strengthen foreign trade, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports. Favourable weather conditions have caused the growth of grain crop yield by a third as compared to last year. This has led to an increase in crop production in January-June by 67.1%. Also livestock sector shows a steady increase: from the beginning of the year beef production has been increased (by 1.4%), production of pork (7.1%), of chicken (14.2%). In addition, Ukrainian poultry producers have the opportunity to export their products to European countries, thus expanding the geography of export. These positive results of the work of agro-industrial complex, first of all, give citizens the opportunity to purchase agricultural products at affordable prices. The Government also states that nearly a record grain harvest by the end of this year will allow to sustain the price for those kinds of bread that are most in demand.
