07.06.2012 10:18 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Budget deficit will not exceed 1.8% this year, whereas next year it will be no more than 1%. First Deputy Finance Minister Anatoliy Miarkovsky was reported this within the frames of a round table in Kyiv.
«By results of the year, the budget deficit will not exceed 1.8%. Reduction in state debt against GDP is expected to 27.7%, and in 2013, the basic budget deficit will not exceed 1%,» the First Deputy Minister has said. According to Miarkovsky, there is a certain «reserve» now in Ukraine. «As of June 1, we have UAH 10.9 billion of deficit out of the planned UAH 25 billion for 2012,» he noted. According to him, such budget dynamics enables Ukraine to observe agreements with the IMF. In turn, IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier noted that the budget deficit index to the amount 1.8% is adequate, however, the planned additional revenues could not cover expenses. According to him, additional measures are needed to support the stated indexes.
