Ukraine sold ≈ 21 mn MT 2008 crop grains on foreign markets

As to Deputy Minister of Economics Viktor Panteleyenko International Conference report, Ukraine has sold ≈ 21 mn MT 2008 crop grains on global market. As to Deputy Minister estimation, Ukraine will share ≈ 10% total global grains market until 2008/09 MY end. Panteleyenko made it known Ukrainian Rural Areas Development Program until 2015 stipulates that country meat annual output should be grown by 2 times, up to 5.1 mn MT (milk − by 1,7 times, up to 20 mn MT). Deputy Minister emphasized Ukraine must accelerate National Accreditation Agency joining to European Accreditation Association agreement. Besides, Panteleyenko stressed it is necessary to introduce domestic food articles producers responsibility for their ready products quality.
