05.06.2007 14:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has repeatedly addressed letter to Premier Viktor Yanukovych asking him to ensure country meat/meat products market equal competition, reported President press-service.
Press-service says this is not the first time President appeals to Premier regarding meat market issue.
Thus, Yushchenko has once again demanded from Yanukovych to cancel meat import duty privileges for Free Economic Zones/Priority Development Territories companies.
As to press-service, President expects answer should be given within 10 days.
In his letter Yushchenko admitted country meat market presently remains, as earlier, destabilized. Thus, this year Jan-Apr budgetary losses caused by meat/meat products import duty privileges totaled UAH425 mn.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, within this year Apr Yushchenko had addressed Yanukovych urging him to assure meat products market stability.
As to Agro Perspective, this year Apr 11 Cabinet had imposed temporary (from May 1/07 till Sept 1/07) ban on Ukrainian give-and-take meat resources import.
