Black sea wheat prices fell again

In the Black Sea region, wheat prices (12.5%) fell again in the reporting week. The decrease was USD34/t. Prices have fallen amid the spread of coronavirus and increased competition in export markets. The decline was supported by the weakening of wheat quotations on global exchanges. By the middle of the current calendar week, wheat prices in the Black Sea region were at USD217222/t, FOB for March/April deliveries. The latest Egyptian tender showed prices for wheat at Russian ports at USD227228/t, FOB. This turned out to be USD79/t below the results of the previous tender (about three weeks earlier). In Ukraine, 12.5% wheat export prices have declined by USD3/t and by the end of the reporting period were within USD217222/t, FOB, Black sea port, Mar/Apr shipments. Prices for wheat (11.5%) have decreased by USD3/t to USD215220/t, FOB. Feed wheat prices have declined by USD3/t and reached level of USD209214/t, FOB.
