Antimonopoly Committee to end poultry meat/eggs market research within May
06.04.2018 22:42 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The AMKU (Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee) is going to complete research of the Ukrainian domestic poultry meat/eggs market within this year May, Interfax-Ukraine says referring to AMKU Head Yuriy Terentyev yesterday report.
«We need, besides identifying the market participants and their market shares, to look deeper into the market, the relationship between its shippers and retail trade. As of now, our domestic poultry meat/eggs market research has come into a pre-investigation phase. It is to be admitted, our investigation has been somewhat delayed since the companies under investigation have been providing us with information for a too long time. However, I think, the research will be completed until this year end May,» he said.
As to the earlier report, as to the preliminary results of the domestic poultry meat market research, the AMC considers the possibility of the two violations of the legislation on the protection of economic competition: abuse of its monopoly dominant position by one of the country largest poultry meat producers, or anticompetitive concerted actions carried out by the country largest poultry meat producers as for their price policy coordination.
