Ukrainian apples export to EU up ninefold

Ukraine has taken the opportunity to rapidly boost its apples export to the European Union due to the European countries apples’ output decline, Ukrinform says referring to the Fruit-Inform report.
As to the report, within Jul 2017 Jan 2018 Ukraine has exported 9,200 tons apples to the EU from July to January, much up against 20162017 similar (1,000 tons), with the majority of lots being the apples for processing.
Reportedly, as of now, Belarus remains the leading importer of Ukrainian apples, and it has sharply boosted its import from Ukraine. Thus, within Jul 2017 Jan 2018, Ukraine has exported 11,400 tons apples to this country (up 60% against 20162017 similar).
As to the report, within Jul 2017 Jan 2018 Ukraine has exported in total 21,000 tons apples, up 2.3 times against 20162017 similar. As of Jan 2018, Ukraine has exported 4,200 tons apples, up 1.8 times against Jan 2017.
