Ukraine ranks second within butter shipments to EU

Due to the 2017 global results, Ukraine ranked second as for butter shipments to the European Union, Ukrinform says referring to
Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ukrainian Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska Facebook report.
«Ukraine once again confirmed the existing status quo as a reliable and important player on the European Union agrarian market. This is evidenced by the success of our exporters, primarily the suppliers of dairy products. Ukraine ranked second after New Zealand in terms of the supply of butter to the European Union. Within Jan-Nov 2017, the EU imported 2,300 tons of butter, while the annual supplies increased almost sevenfold against 2016,» the official said.
As to Mykolska, Ukraine has also demonstrated growth on the global market.
«As to our colleagues from the USA, Ukraine ranked eighth in terms of butter exports within the world within Jan-Oct 2017 with a total volume of 20,800 tons and a three-fold year-on-year boost,» she said.
It is to be admitted, due to 2017 results, Ukraine traditionally ranked first within grains shipments to the EU.
