Ukrainian this year Jan-Oct agricultural products export up US$2.7 milliard

This year Jan-Oct Ukrainian agricultural products export has grown to US$14.7 milliard (up US$2.7 milliard or 22.7% against last year similar), while import boosted to US$ 3.6 milliard (up 8%), Ukrinform says referring to Ukrainian Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister on European Integration Olga Trofimtseva report.
«The top three countries importing our agrarian products within Jan-Oct 2017 were India (11.3% of total export), Egypt (7.5%) and Netherlands (6.9%). At the same time, the regional section of agrarian export globally has not changed: we exported over 42% of our products to the countries of Asia, 31.9% to the countries of the EU, 14.7% to the countries of Africa,» Trofimtseva said.
As to her, within Jan-Oct 2017, Ukrainian shipments of the following products to the world markets have boosted significantly: apricot, cherries, peaches, plums up by US$8.6 million (wheat flour US$ 17.7 million, sugar US$121.4 million, meat and poultry byproducts almost US$83 million, butter US$69.1 million, frozen beef US$36.1 million, bakery and confectionery products US$23.8 million and, malt extracts, flour products, cereals US$52.6 million).
«The statistics confirm our previous forecasts regarding the boost within annual volumes of agricultural exports by 1520% within 2017 against the last year,» Trofimtseva added.
