Groisman: Government will stand for a large-scale decentralization within 2017 State Budget
05.09.2016 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of last week Sat, while speaking within a meeting with media people in Vinnytsia, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman Groisman said the Government will defend a large-scale decentralization to be laid in the State Budget for 2017 despite the statements of certain politicians about the need to centralize resources, Government Portal reports.
«We preserve an extensive decentralization of finance which means that the funds will remain at the disposal of the regions next year. We will fight for it,» Groisman said while speaking about the Government priorities defined in the draft State Budget for 2017.
He noted that certain Ukrainian statemongers are telling «that we should consolidate more money in the center, in Kyiv».
«I categorically oppose that,» Groisman stressed.
«Cities, towns, villages, districts, counties should receive funds on a direct basis neither from committees of the Parliament nor from ministries, but directly: they earn a hryvnia to the budget they immediately distribute it. Therefore, the decentralization, I want to tell that, will be remained for all cities, towns, villages, districts and regions,» Groisman emphasized.
