Poroshenko discussed Ukrainian investment climate issue with Board Chairman of UniCredit Group

As of today, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with Board Chairman of UniCredit Group Giuseppe Vita, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the parties have discussed prospects of further improvement of conditions for the activity of foreign investors in Ukraine.
Reportedly, Poroshenko has noted the importance of cooperation with the Italian bank and significance of cooperation between the two countries in general. He has emphasized the importance of Italy’s support for Ukraine reflected in the position of G7 and EU regarding the prolongation of sanctions against Russia.
As to the report, the President has stressed that the economic policy of Ukraine and legislative changes are aimed at the establishment of the most transparent business conditions. «We demonstrate real efforts in struggle against corruption, establishment of the rule of law, stabilization and ensuring greater transparency of financial and banking systems,» he said.
In his turn, Board Chairman of UniCredit Group Giuseppe Vita has expressed confidence that Ukraine deserves a better future. He has also praised the actions of President Poroshenko. «Your work is extremely important for Ukraine,» he noted.
As to the report, Giuseppe Vita has emphasized the long history of cooperation between Italy and Ukraine. «The position of UniCredit Group has demonstrated since 2007 that we believe in the future of Ukraine,» he said.
Reportedly, Giuseppe Vita has also noted that UniCredit Group is very active in Austria, Germany, Poland and many other European countries. Thus, its presence in Ukraine symbolizes close financial ties between Ukraine and the European Union.
As to the report, the parties have discussed future financial initiatives of UniCredit in Ukraine and prospects of stabilization and restoration of Ukrainian economy’s growth.
