While speaking with the Ukrainian President by telephone, the Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico told Slovakia intends to maintain its gas exports to Ukraine at current levels, UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian President press service report.
«The leaders of Ukraine and Slovakia discussed a wide range of issues of economic cooperation, including the energy industry and the aspects of the transit of natural gas. The Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic confirmed the intention of his country to maintain the volumes of reverse gas supplies to Ukraine,» the report says.
As to earlier report, on May 20, Slovakian President Andrej Kiska said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv that the reverse flow of natural gas from his country to Ukraine had been arranged, and Bratislava and Kyiv were ready to work together on this issue.
