Poroshenko, Cameron had a phone conversation

As of today, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Cameron, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko congratulated David Cameron on a convincing victory of the Conservative Party in the elections to the British Parliament held on May 7. Also, Poroshenko noted that this victory was a bright example of the need to make resolute and sometimes unpopular steps for the economic benefit of the country and at the same time maintain public support and win the elections.
In his turn, Cameron expressed gratitude for congratulations and assured Poroshenko of further support of Ukraine and his firm position in favor of the European unity and solidarity.
As to the report, the parties discussed the situation in Donbas. The President emphasized that Ukraine fulfilled the Minsk agreements. Namely, it withdrew heavy weaponry, which was confirmed by the OSCE.
Reportedly, Poroshenko and Cameron also coordinated positions on the eve of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga and agreed on bilateral meeting.
As to the report, Poroshenko emphasized that Ukraine expected clearer signals from the EU for the introduction of visa-free regime and recognition of its European futures prospects.
