Yatseniuk: Ukrainian anti-corruption strategy is to be based on model of Polish strategy

T he Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk is going to appeal to the Polish Government with a request to send experts to Ukraine to facilitate implementation of the program on combating corruption and the examination of Ukrainian anti-corruption legislation, Government Portal reports referring to the Yatseniuk statement
at a briefing following his meeting with the Chairman of the Polish Central Anticorruption Paweł Wojtunik on Thurs, Apr 23.
As to the report, Yatseniuk admitted that Paweł Wojtunik had arrived to Kyiv at an invitation of the Ukrainian
Government, «so that we could jointly undertake the development of a comprehensive anti-corruption strategy in Ukraine».
As to Yatseniuk, the anti-corruption strategy in Ukraine should base following an example of Polish one.
«I would like in Ukraine those responsible for curbing corruption could build a clear and understandable strategy following the example of Poland,» he said.
As to the report, Yatseniuk appealed to Paweł Wojtunik with a request to the Polish side to help Ukraine firstly in what concerns the issue of anti-corruption legislation: «We have dozens of laws that need to be analysed and Poland has passed this stage. We would like Poland to conduct a legal examination of all laws directed to combating corruption in Ukraine».
Reportedly, Yatseniuk also told that he would address the Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz to ask the Polish Government to send experts to Ukraine in order to facilitate implementation of the corruption combating program.
