Yatseniuk: 2015 is year of investments from international financial institutions
31.12.2014 09:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
«I can clearly declare that in 2015 we do not expect private investors. 2015 is the year of investments from the international financial institutions. The International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank. These are exceptionally international financial institutions. They are like pioneers. They are first and they are the guarantors of the implementation, including a reform program for private investors,» Government Portal reports quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk as speaking during the final media conference on 30 December 2014.
As to the report, Yatseniuk stressed the importance to execute the peace plan of the President of Ukraine: «The control over the border should be ensured. Russia should stop supplying weapons to the Russian terrorists and to withdraw their FSB agents and regular troops. That is, the first task is to stabilize the situation in the East.»
Besides, it is of extreme significance to implement an economic reform package, which aims at reduction of expenditures, balancing the budget, cutting taxes, simplification of administration, de-shadowing, legalization of wages, reduction of powers and functions of regulatory authorities, introduction of international standards in accounting and tax reporting.
He also told that macrocorruption had been managed to overcome at a macro level.
«At a micro level it still exists. And curbing is possible in several ways. The first is the implementation of all laws we have adopted. The second is the reduction in the number of regulatory agencies what has been already done. The third is increased responsibility for corruption. And fourth wages. If the level of salaries in the bodies, which are essentially corrupt, remains at this level, we can never curb it,» Yatseniuk emphasized.
