Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk met with Vice President of World Bank Laura Tuck

On Thursday, September 18, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk met with the Vice President of the World Bank Laura Tuck, who is in Ukraine for a visit, Government Portal reports.
As to report, Yatseniuk highly appreciated the activity of the World Bank in Ukraine and willingness to assist the Ukrainian Government in overcoming of the economic challenges the country faces in connection with the Russian aggression in Eastern Ukraine. In this context, the Prime Minister expressed the hope for the effectiveness of an international donor conference to be held at the end of the year in order to form and content of the special fund of the Donbas reconstruction.
Reportedly, Arseniy Yatseniuk and Laura Tuck discussed the state and prospects of economic and social reforms supported by the World Bank.
Also, the Vice-President of the World Bank welcomed the progress made by the Ukrainian Government targeted at simplifying of the regulatory procedures - what raises the attractiveness of investment projects.
Besides, the Ukrainian Prime Minister expressed his disappointment at the refusal of the Parliament to consider tax government projects, social and anti-corruption reforms, emphasizing the principled position of the Government concerning its early adoption.
