Piatnytskiy: Ukrainian companies work on European market for many years already
25.06.2014 09:06 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Signing of the Economic Agreement with the EU will not hurt Ukrainian entrepreneurs to develop their own business - as it is confirmed by the practice of domestic producers who have been successfully trading with the EU for many year already, Government Portal reports referring to the Government Commissioner for European Integration Valeriy Piatnytskiy interview with the Espreso.TV.
«Ukrainian companies have been working on the European market for many years already. Initially, the very first contracts concluded still within the last century’ 90-ies by the Ukrainian producers with the European consumers were such basic contracts as, for instance, metal articles’ trade contract. Our country’s steel industry producers didn’t fear to enter the European market and work there. Besides, Ukraine also had an agreement on textile products’ trade with the European consumers - so small-sized and medium-sized textile articles’ producers which now work all over Ukraine, they had succeeded to start working with the EU still at that time,» Piatnytskiy said.
As to Piatnytskiy, certain Ukrainian goods, such as food products with different degrees of value added, have already showed themselves to good advantage on the EU market.
