First Belarusian PPP congress gathers over 350 experts

Over 350 experts and specialists from different countries took part in the first Belarusian congress on public-private partnership (PPP) held in Minsk, Belarus Radio says referring to BelTA.
The congress «Days of PPP in Belarus» gathered over 350 participants including the leading PPP experts from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, China, Russia, Croatia, Switzerland and other countries, representatives of ministries, state agencies, private business, banking and financial sectors, scientists, and representatives of public organizations. The congress was organized as part of the project «Strengthening national capacities of the Republic of Belarus in applying PPP mechanisms» jointly held by the EU, UNDP, and the Belarusian Economy Ministry. The congress featured a number of events, including the first session of the interagency infrastructure coordination board and the PPP forum for representatives of private business with the participation of representatives of state agencies and other parties concerned. The Days of PPP in Belarus also featured a public discussion of the current PPP legislation and a roundtable on the PPP draft law presented by the Belarusian Council of Ministers.
