26.05.2014 18:42 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to Igor Korotkevich, Head of the overseas sales department of the company Gomselmash report, the company is mulling over supplies of its agricultural equipment to India, Belarus Radio says referring to BelTA.
In his words, it first of all pertains to light-duty grain harvesters.
«Local agrarians need equipment for small fields. It was also stressed by the Indian Ambassador who paid a visit to the Gomel company several months ago,» Igor Korotkevich said. The Gomselmash delegation traveled to India not long ago to hold talks with potential partners. The readiness to cooperate was voiced by two companies. A representative of one of them plans to visit Gomel next month.
«Taking into account the experience of our cooperation with China, the most acceptable option is to set up a joint venture in India with a considerable localization of production through a wide use of local components. For this we need a partner there who is interested in long-term cooperation. The first step is a concrete business proposal,» Korotkevich stressed.
Gomselmash is one of main agricultural equipment manufacturers in the CIS and Europe. All in all, the enterprise produces over 40 different kinds of agricultural machines.
