11.03.2013 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union should not conflict with international obligations of our country and must facilitate the establishment of relations that would provide motivations for the increase of trade turnover. It was stated by the Ukrainian President in his interview to journalists in Kaniv within last week, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«We are ready to accede to every provision of the Customs Union that doesn’t contradict our international obligations or rules of WTO in order to provide decent conditions for our producers and economy,» the Head of State noted.
Viktor Yanukovych noted that in the course of his visit to Russia, the parties had decided to continue searching for the format of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union not only at the level of governments, but also at the level of the executive body of the Customs Union represented by Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. «The result of the given work will be the meeting of the Presidents of these countries at which we will discuss this issue and make respective decisions,» the President noted.
According to the Head of State, the format of cooperation should eliminate problems of trade-economic relations between Ukraine and the Customs Union.
