"Black" list of economically most vulnerable EU countries
14.02.2012 08:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The European Commission has made a «black» list of economically and socially most vulnerable EU countries.
The four countries where the situation is seen as critical are Italy, Spain, Hungary and Cyprus.
The list is based on key economic indicators, including the government assets, the macroeconomic situation and the pace of its development, the cost of labour power and social guarantees.
The European Commission has also drawn up the «grey» list and included the UK, France, Belgium, Bulgaria and Slovenia on it. These are the countries within the economic risk area. Greece is not on any list since it’s being supported by the EU and IMF special-purpose bailout programmes. Source: ITAR-TASS.
