It is reported that a record harvest expectations have led to a huge reduction in price of the product. Since the start of havesting wholesale prices for potatoes reduced threefold , reaching a price from 60 kopecks to 1 hryvnia per one kg, which was stunning news for farmers, who, after the spring potato prices at 4.5 6 hryvnias planned to obtain a significant profit. The main reason for such a crop is not a significant increase of acreage but favorable weather, that resulted in increased average yield to 166 kg / ha.
