Ukraine hits grains record high crop

Ukrainian agrarians have harvested 74.3 million tons grains/leguminous plants at 15 million ha, what is a historical high record, Ukrinform says referring to Ukrainian Minister of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Milovanov Facebook report.
«Statistics of the day. Record high data of the grains crop. 74.3 million tonnes of grains/leguminous plants harvested at 15 million ha. Or 98% of the total planned, with average yield of 4.93 tonnes, up against the last year 4.7 tonnes per ha,» the report reads.
In meanwhile, as to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy (which is currently undergoing reorganization) and the USDA forecasts, the Ukrainian grains/leguminous plants’ total crop is to grow to 75 million tons. In part., the forecast says the Ukrainian maize crop is to grow to the record high 36 million tons.
