Ukraine, Germany to deepen agrarian projects cooperation

As of this week, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Victor Sheremeta and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy Vladislav Andronov had a meeting in Kyiv with the advisor to the German Embassy within Ukraine on Agriculture Herman Intemann and the head of the project «German-Ukrainian Agri-Political Dialogue» Volker Zasse, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, within the meeting the Ukrainian side discussed the key directions of German-Ukrainian cooperation as part of attracting international technical assistance to the agrarian sector. In particular, discussed were the projects implemented by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany.
«Within 2018, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will be focused upon support of farming and co-operation. As for this issue, the success of other countries, in particular Germany, is important for us. Implementation of our joint projects will promote the development of Ukrainian rural areas, the availability of new technologies for small and medium-sized farmers, and a boost of the organic products’ output,» Sheremeta admitted.
It is to be admitted, since 2016 within Ukraine the project «German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue» (ADF) has been implemented. Among its key topics are the rural development, improvement of agrarian education and science, raising the products’ standards of quality and safety. Besides, another 4 projects are now at different stages of the State registration.
